Actress, model and qualified Swathi of Palace City Mysuru is back after a brief hibernation. That is because of an accident she met while travelling in the auto in Bengaluru two years ago. Right side of Swathi face was badly hit in the accident. She had to take rest with medical attention.


Swathi of Madesha, Hunja, Varasdaara, Dandupalya, Bidalaare Naa, Uda, Murari, Likitha in Telugu returns with a mega television serial ‘Shuba Vivaaha’ of Jagadish in Zee Kannada – she plays a trouble shooter with negative shade. She is Urmila in the mega serial. Swathi had formal training in Adarsha film institute and she was first spotted by Guru Deshpande.


In her second innings in cinema Swathi has signed a Kannada film that will be announced on Ganesha festival. She has one film from Tamil in the direction of Bharath Kumar of VFX.


A very introvert girl from Mysuru Swathi was cajoled for her dress sense. It was Prasad Biddappa who encouraged her for fashion shows and Miss Karnataka in 2009. Swathi relatives laughed at her. ‘Neena Miss Karnataka....contest.....No No.....was told. She took it as a challenge on that day. In the college days she was chided as ‘Behanji’ for her traditional style of dress sense.


Swathi groomed to give a shock to everyone. In 2009 she got Miss Karnataka award and the very next day she got a call from director Ravi Srivatsa for the film ‘Madesha’ where she was second fiddle.


Offers continued till a mild controversy on costume in ‘Hunja’ for an item song. After that the costume selection of Swathi is looked after by her sister Anusha who has done masters in computer application.

In the return to tinsel town Swathi picks a notable role in ‘Shuba Vivaha’. Nearly 30 episodes are already telecast.


Before coming to arch light Swathi worked as HR employee.  She is a graduate in fashion jewellery designing and did commerce graduation via correspondence.
